Privacy window films are a modern, minimalist alternative to blinds or curtains both of which block both the views from your home, as well as natural daylight to the room. There are a range of films broadly comprised into two groups:

One way privacy film

This film comes in Neutral and Mirrored versions. It works by reflecting light back from where it is greatest and is perfect for daytime privacy options to add seclusion to your home, whilst enabling excellent light transmission to the room. There are a range of films, each offering an increasing degree of privacy dependent on your preference, and when expertly fitted will also offer a beautiful and modern aesthetic to the look of your windows. Neutral films maintain a more natural look to your windows, whilst Mirrored films will offer a silver coloured, contemporary aesthetic to the outside of glass. Two way privacy film

Privacy window films are also referred to as frosted window films. They can be customised to your glazing, such as application to lower window panes, and perfect to offer privacy on balconies and balustrades. It can also offer complete privacy solutions in overlooked rooms such as bathrooms and toilets. It blocks 100% of view in and out but, unlike blinds, still allows much light into the room. It is popular due to being a cleaner and more hygienic option when it comes to bathroom and toilet spaces. Additionally, this film can be border or pattern cut, with a wide range of design options. We have a kitchen extension with a side return that has a pitched roof of mainly glass. It was far too hot in summer. Tim gave great advice when he came to quote, and helped figure out solutions around a couple of idiosyncratic aspects to how our roof is designed. Friendly, professional, on time and has a can do approach. The film is almost unnoticeable but the transformation to the climate in the kitchen is huge.

The service provided by Tim was just excellent. I phoned for a quote to get our 3 bedroom windows covered with privacy film, and received same day service. Tim was very polite and so professional in his work. The 2 small bedroom windows are south facing, and just after completing 1 window, it was quite noticeable the drop in heat seeing as it was a hot day. As I had just decorated the main bedroom, the privacy film complemented the new Roman blinds and curtains. Looking at the windows for outside its just looking at mirrors and cannot see anything behind them. I have already booked Tim to come and complete the rest of the house. I totally recommend TS Window Films, who takes pride in all their work and service provided.

Unlike blinds, Privacy window films are low maintenance, and easy to care for. They can be wiped down with every day cleaning products, are minimalist and fuss free, do not require adjusting and once installed come with a long warranty.

Design Options

Two way privacy/ frosted window film when applied fully gives the appearance of sand blasted glass which in itself offers a stylish look as well as preventing views through the glass. However, it is also very versatile and can be cut with borders, logos, and design patterns which can add a beautiful look to residential glass, or is useful for commercial properties and office partitions.
