We were contacted by the Hyundai car dealership in Maidstone, Kent for advice on reducing heat and glare in their show room. The building is constructed primarily from large panes of glass. Whilst this is ideal for customers being able to view the cars, it caused an uncomfortable environment on hot, sunny days. Our client wanted to enhance comfort with solar control window film installation, and improve energy efficiency by reducing the high demand for air conditioning. Further, there was an impact with UV damage to stock vehicles and interior furnishings, leading to fading and reduced vehicle appeal.

To address these issues, we suggested installation of a high performance solar control Silver 50 window film throughout the building. This window film was light enough to ensure that customers can still see in, whilst reducing both heat and glare to levels which felt far more manageable. UV damage would be prevented, and air conditioning could be maintained at a more economical level.

Our client was delighted with the results, reporting improved customer comfort, well maintained vehicles which were not impacted by fading, and an appealing aesthetic with a light tint to the glass panels.
